- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆My brother, an all rounder Motor Mechanic, and a good Mechanic, at that,worked for the Electricity Board, servicing and repairing the cars, vans, and various HGVs, before the Board was sold to Private Investors. It was my understanding that all the Electricity Board vehicles based in Chelmsford were taken to J & D Hinton when due for an MOT. My brother was nobodies fool and he new an Honest, No nonsense, garage when he saw it. J & D Hinton, of Danbury matched up to his perception of a first class family business with an abundance of No How. Sadly my brother is no longer with us, but he used J & D Hinton for his own vehicle before and after he retired, And his good sense was shared with my self, my son and my daughter as we also go to J & D Hinton for our servicing, repairs and MOTs All in all, I can trust my car will looked after as good, I think better, than the main dealer will do it, I can say that in all honesty because a colleague took his car to a main dealer when he was unable to wind his window down. The Main Dealer installed a new window, at considerable cost. it still didnt operate smoothly when the car came back. I know that sounds trivial, but when the main dealer made a pigs ear of it and an independent garage puts the work right during a service, it becomes an eye opener. The garage will advise you as to what needs doing to your vehicle, and does not add on extra parts that are not necessary which, I have found, is the case with some garages.By Admin, October 25, 2018
